Fairview Canyon lakes
« on: Dec 07, 2017, 11:40 PM »
Went to see if there was ice and i found some. gooseberry has 2-3" on one half of the lake and 1" on the other half. fishing was exceptional. As soon as i dropped my line in i had a fish on and it didn't stop i got so board of catching fish in the 14" class i decided to move on and see what else was froze.

I found that Boulger lake had 8" yes you heard that right 8" of ice. this is a small shallow lake and the fishing is so hot and fast the rainbows would hit my jig without any bait on it. Electric lake was almost all the way capped over as well. I then went to Scofield and found it is almost fish-able. all this was on Tuesday the 5th.

I went back up to gooseberry on the 6th and got board once a gain catching fish non stop so i thought i would see how mammoth was coming along and to my surprise it was capped and fish-able off the boat ramp. check R&C board for its report. Its time boys and girls the ice season is here! get out and put some on the hard deck and be safe!!!!
