Ceymar C10- 2021 different than 20?
« on: Dec 04, 2021, 08:41 AM »
Looking online some are $39.99 and some say 2021 and are $10-$30 more. Did something  change?

Yup, the president... ;D Sorry, I couldn't help myself.  I'm not aware of any changes to the reel itself.

I was looking at them also.  How much bigger do you think the 20 is over the 10?  Or even the 30 over the 20?

https://www.okumafishing.com/en/product/Ceymar-Spinning-Reel/ceymar-spinning-reel.html. If the link works here’s the specs. They make a xt version too but it looks like the difference is an extra spool.

Similar to other reels, 10 or 1000 20 or 2000. The 30 would be large for an ice rod imo unless you're pretty large fish

Thanks guys, I understand the 10 is equally to 1000 and so on.  I was hoping some one had one in hand that they could give a accurate comparison.  I have heard the 10 is really small so just wanted to see.  Thanks again.

I was recently looking at both the C10 & C20 the other day as well. The C20 actually is similar in size to a 1000 of other brands. I was using a Shimano Sienna 1000 FG for comparison.

My wife picked a c10 up at Sheels for me today, it’s going back. It’s tiny, like stated it’s a 500 in other brands. I can see line memory being horrible. Anybody actually use one on here?

I use them on a lot of open water rods. Work great but near zero experience in below freezing conditions. Pictured are two ceymars a 20 and 30 with a pflueger supreme 25  for size reference. The 20 and 30 seem pretty normal sized imo

Thanks HWeber and Hawg.  That is perfect.  I think I'm going to go with the 30.   Looks like it will give me enough line capacity to go after lakers in some deeper water. Be safe everyone.

JMO, I think it's a waste to get a tiny reel instead of a regular sized reel.  That way you can use it all year.

I thought it was a regular size. Who knew Okuma screwed with sizes ? Every other 1000 is pretty close in size, this is a 500 and should be a 500. Mail order sucks for this exact reason unless you know what you’re ordering, Fleet has nothing so I had never seen these.

The supply chain changed because of the pandemic. If you want the president to intervene in commerce, does that make you a socialist?

I have a c-10 with 5lb ice mono, I like it alot. I know a handful of other people that use that size also. If I was going for giant eyes I'd size up.
