Guys do well with hybrids on Hopatcong later in the season. I'll be spending some time targeting 30-40lbers out in PA this winter.

Yes, I would be very interested. I understood that hybrids did not bite so much in winter. I would be very interested in some possible suggestions for targeting them.

Are hybrids like trout in that they often hit 'up top' near the ice?

Does anyone know where I can buy 100,000,000 gallons of liquid nitrogen so that I can cool down Central Jersey and get things where we want them? ;D

2 words = GO DEEP!
Like most fish they eat less when temps are very low.
The ones I've seen came from the bottom in deep water.

Here's a 5mb clip I recently made with wierd audio from South Park's spookyfish.

That Aqua-vu is a fun gadget especially in shallow water (I'm working on trying to make video's with it), the flasher is better out deep.

Sully - Thanks. Now I can give up on fishing, period. :(

davek134 - You were asking about "strippers".  I can remember a stripper bar where you could hold up your drink on the rocks at the right angle and when the lights flashed just right you could GET a good look at the STRIPPER THROUGH THE ICE.  ;D

(Image removed from quote.)

Nice to finally see a picture of that fish Sully. That things a pig. I've been hearing about it from other guys I've met while fishing Mountain. Musta been a tight squeeze thru a 9" hole.

As soon as there's good ice I'll be making a few trips to target them also. I'm usually one of the first guys out but I'd rather not take a chance targeting fish that big on 2-3" of ice. That much extra weight is what could send me swimming and I'd rather not do that on that lake.

Yea, right.  What is with the t-shirt, blue jeans and summer-clean truck?

When you pulled it through the hole, did it sound like "schlluuuuuuurrrrp" !
