man, the lakers did not want to hit anything today. I was on the ice at PK by 6:30 and got off at 4pm. Early morning I had one chaser, and he never hit it. Stayed in 120ft of water. I have just about had it fishing for lakers.
Common Knowledge, its right in the dec regulations. Use or possesion of smelt prohibited.
Last three weeks they havnt turned on until after 10 for me. And I havnt found an aggressive group either.I was out Saturday at daylight for lakers with tipups. No flags till 945 last one came at 2. They weren't to active jigging for them though either!
I also went out Monday for Lakers at daylight and walked off the ice after an hour or two. The fish just were not active either where I was and I was in about 60-70 fow. Some days they just aren't that aggressive. Went out later and the day and pulled some Perch. In the old days I would have fished ALL day with the hope that they might turn on. I don't like to walk off, but it felt good not getting suckered.
Does anyone know of the closest access to Boon Bay would be??. I know you can get on at Cotton Point but was wondering if there is closer access. Thank you.
was just wondering what size suckers you guys use on your tipups, I dont want to buy to large and dont really want to pay a premium for small ones...thanks
