“Equal chances, for temperature or precipitation, means there are no strong or consistent climate signals for either above or below normal conditions during the season,” said Edward O’Lenic, a NOAA forecaster.

Basically, what I think old Edward is trying to say is "We dont have a flippin' clue what the weather is going to be like this winter, we are just guessing over here...."  :) :)

north iowa is still holding good ice boys you should give it a stab its worth the drive and 10 inches of ice this past weekend
early to bed early to rise fish like h.e.l.l. and think up lies.
