Winona has 8-12 inches.  Most lakes in the area are similar.

I didn't make an exact measurement, but Big Turkey (Stueben Co.) had plenty last night.  At least 10 inches I would guess.

I was on Lafferty this morning(just a couple miles across the boarder in Michigan) and the ice was about 13 inches thick.  About half the lake had water standing on top of the ice, anywhere from 1 in to 5 inches of water. I drilled some holes where there was standing water and looked like flushing a toilet.  Water was rushing down the holes like crazy.  Not a good situation for that lake.  Will not go back there this year anymore.

11" on a Steuben Cty. lake today...no more snow..lots of water scattered about.   Caught about 30 keepers (gills / crappie) between the two of us in about 4 hrs.

10-12 inches on Sylvan.  Might have a hard time getting to it in a day or two.

Better than I expected but it was getting a little wet when I walked off in noble co tonight.  Was on 3 lakes in that county today and the ice was holding.  I'm sure some of it will survive tomorrow,  just not sure how much or where!

If we get 55 or 60 mph gusts tomorrow the ice may survive, the real question is, will anybody on the ice survive. Shanties can't take that kind of gusts, at least not my clam! The forecast looks promising but wind could be bad for existing ice. I remember back in the day the ice heved on Morrison Island (the See) and it looked like a bulldozer just wiped the lakefront cottages out! Hopefully that doesn't happen with this blow! Later Hex

Gotta be crazy to fish tomorrow!  We'll see what happens with this weather system.  I'm not any better than the weather men at predicting this weather.  I thought the ice was long gone, now I think someone,  somewhere in NE Indiana will be walking on water in March.

Same here Roeboat, ice has held better than I figured. But I'm seeing rising temperature right now this late soft ice can be tricky to judge! Hope guys error on the safe side! Hex

If the north got the rain like here in Wabash and Grant counties, I would say the ice isn’t safe. That’s my opinion, you all take care and be safe. Too many tragedies this year.
