I caught nothing, again.

I tried mealworms this trip to avoid the salmon, but the worms didnt cut it.

I even went across the street and tried feeding the trout there, and the worms fell to the bottom without being touched.

but they did eat the pellets i spent my toll money on, that they sell in the machines there. lol

Back in the day when we chased the stock trucks around we would pick up a handfull of pebbles and toss them into the lake ( pond or wherever) the trout used to think they were being fed and would come over to check it out. Kind of chumming them in without using chum, lol.

That's Funny

My buddies Father has his own small trout pond up in Canada and feeds them the same kinda pellets, He's tried using them with power-bait (to hold em on the hook) and has caught a few (though not consistantly)  ::)

A few years ago Berkley made a product called "power nuggets--hatchery formula" that looked exactly like the hatchery pellets.  You needed to use a tiny fly hook but they killed the trout.  Then, they stopped making it.
when hell freezes over, I'll be icefishing there too!
