Long Sought For

Had a good 4 hours there this morning. Caught 5 fish while setting up. Ended up with 14 pics and 1 bass. A beauty of a day with plenty of flags. This was the best day of the season so far for me. And after having 4 fish days while being out all day,I will take all those pickerel and be very happy about it!!

It's not a bad pond. There are days when you'd swear that there isn't a fish in the pond, and then there's days when you can't bring enough bait to last.
My best day ever was a couple of years back when I went through over 3 dozen shiners by myself, during a derby.
Most ponds and lakes can run the "hot and cold" periods. It just takes persistance.

Way to go BJ!! Sounds like a good day.  I agree with fishermantim, I've had quite a few  days there when I wondered if there were any fish in there at all.  :D

Great place to chase flags, I have fished it a few times and although a ton of fish, nothing big enough to write home about. great place to bring kids!

Thats a great place there I usually get a flag :tipup: before I get to set out all traps. The point to the right of the cove is pickerel ally all day.  :)

Thats pretty much where we set up. Like I said any other year I wouldnt be happy with all the pics, but after such a slow start this season I was very happy to be chasing flags all day. Heading up to Rindge N.H. thursday morning for Goatboy Weekend. There are 10 of us who rent a house on Lake Contocook evey year. The house is beautiful and right on the water and the fishing is very good. The beers will be flowing and the flags will be popping. Lots of laughs,good food and great poker games. Not happy about a new foot of snow but we will do our best!! :flex:
