« on: Jan 11, 2004, 10:29 AM »
New to the site and maybe I missed it in a previous post but what about circle hooks...Anyone tried them, single hook but supposedly the fish hook themselves. True??? I have not done alot of fishing with tip-ups and was looking for a leg(or a fin up) on the fish and more hook-ups please let me know and Thanks!

Hey Bear,
Have been using them for a little while seem to work good but the fish don't hook themselves that would be too easy lol. The angle of the hook makes the hook turn which increases the set a little easier. I use theses for mainly bass fishing for other species I use trebles for an increased chance. Well just my two cents hope this helps, best thing is to try them on one rig and see how you like em' some people hate them kinda a preference thing. Well good luck fishing!!! :'( :'( :'(
