Can someone please stop this wind? Cut my day short yesterday. Got tired of fighting it.

I don’t think tomorrow is supposed to be much better. High winds of 15-25 forecasted through Sunday for Oneida.  Last trip on the ice for me this year. So I’m fishing regardless
Good luck

You really need to be on your “A” game setting up and packing things up! 20mph sustained out here.

The West coordinates on the post of gas hole at the beach are incorrect. I don’t know what they are but know that it may have been mistyped.

That is wild, look at the sled tracks from when it was softer on top. Couldn't see it back then with the snow, that was a close call for somebody

Boy,,,, You’re not kidding!
I think it’s great everyone on here keeps track of these and to keep all of us safe. I’m really intrigued by them but super freaked out
as well. The snowmobile tacks next to them just blow my mind......

Walked out of Chapman at 8:00 am. Solid glare ice, by far the easiest walk this year. Definitely need ice creepers. Fished in 28 fow with 8" of ice, lots of marks right away, got a couple of perch to commit. They were most aggressive when jigging a medium sized Rap up 3' to 5' off the bottom. I was anchored down but the one man was still getting blown around pretty good, forgot to bring weights out to hold the skirting down which rendered the little buddy heater fruitless. Kept visualizing the iconic  Marilyn Monroe "flying skirt" image and it was all over with, fished 1 hour. The ice was noisy, heard and felt some good quakes. Back at it tomorrow morning.  Cookies Bait Shop has been VERY generous all season long with buckeyes, had to get 3 for 1 this morning there. Good People!

I walked out of Chapman at 12:30 or so, left around 3, just too windy.  When I walked out there were 8 or 9 shacks around, when I left, there was just one other left.
I did have marks and chasers but nothing would commit.  They would run up from the bottom and linger under my jig and then dash back down.
We will see what tomorrow or Sunday bring.  May try one more day, or a day early next week. Otherwise, I think I am done for the season.

Oh and Cookies rocks, he gave me at least double what I paid for.
