Just a quick stop to check Canoab pond in S. County. Had 5" of measured ice on the main body but the pond is surrounded by reeds and catails. Anywhere it is covered by snow on the edges and in the reeds the ice is very thin. Went thru almost to the top of my boots. Maybe the rain will help knock the snow down and allow a freeze.
Also fished Locustville pond, had 4" measured. Good on the edges. 2 hours bagged about 18 nice perch with some small throwbacks. Couldn't stay longer as I had obligations. Be carefull out there. FM
