I thought the lotus-eaters didn't tolerate snow and ice :D  So as far as this hardwater guy is concerned, game on!!  No halibut qualify ;D

Back in 1993 ??? some 3 cm of snow fell in Vancouver. The city shut down and people stayed home 2 days. The paper even showed a guy shoveling snow in his Birkenstocks.

Yes we call Vancouver, lotus land and you end up getting webs grown between your toes if you live there too long.
That is 10 hours south of the real BC where you will get your competition. We have been on ice since late October here in the great white north ;)
I have over 3 feet of snow to plow before I get into my country estates. Unfortunately you guys may stand a chance this year as lots of our lakes have a pile of snow on. Hope this doesn't happen again...

But we just have to get the snowshoes out. We don't drive on our lakes here in BC because of poor access....but nothing stops the snowshoe ;)2
Good luck all and if your feeling real confident maybe we could place a friendly wager like losing mod has to shave his head....with a weedwacker ;D

Every year TGF goads us into the same trap.....
Lads save your hair and your money ......go to the archives and see who's doing all the winning
I learnt my lesson last year....I'm staying out of that challenge  ::) :embarassed:

To an extent, it does depend on how the categories stack up this year....

My country estates home so far has cost me 45 - 47 thousand and thats including 10 acres of land. Probably another 7,500 $ for hardie plank siding then I'm done. I do have my own sawmill as well though so saved lots of $$$. Funny when someone mentions BC everyone assumes its down in lotus land (lower mainland) where most of the people in BC live. Whole new ball game up here in gods country. No ice down there unless you get really high altitude. And they don't know how to walk in the snow with their birkenstocks. ;D

I'd looked at that Hardie plank for the garage...good stuff, but apparently creates a whack of dust when cutting...not that bad if you are in the middle of nowhere...just cut far enough away from your buildings to avoid the grief.

When they had the fires in Kelowna a few years ago...the hardie plank were the only ones that made it when all other vinyl ones around them were burnt. Hold a torch to it and its cement/fiber so won't burn....
Geez were getting off topic heh.
Hope you guys land some lunkers in the tourney. Good luck

At least there's a couple of us in for the weekly draws already  ;D  It's a shame the wife and kids didn't catch anything, but the batteries were running low on the camera anyway.
