Who's got their shacks out?

Who's  got thier shack on the ice?  I have a new trailer mounted shack and need to be able to take my truck onto the ice.  Would hate to sink'er so early.  How thick is the ice before you generally put out the permys?

It might be helpful if you mentioned the body of water you intend putting your shack on. Ice conditions vary so much,as i'm sure you know. ;) zeus.
