I bought this when they ran their coupon earlier...$148 with two 5ah batteries.....almost a sin not to buy.....even at 167

I have the dewalt xr 20v and found some 6ah batteries on Amazon for $29.99. They aren't dewalt brand and they have a good amount of positive reviews so I'm going to try one. The negative reviews say they don't charge and the positive reviews say you just need to make sure their is a connection when you put it on the charger (no brainer?) so I just bought one to give it a try. At $29.99, I can definitely afford to put it through a season of ice fishing to test it.

you could buy lithium batteries or the shuttle and be money ahead on that deal. nice find. that's about 50$ more than the lx7 retail with standard shuttle.

the reason it didn't take off well was google owns android and when they tried to get it all cleared thru them it took more time than they thought it would and then when they added gps it took even longer for fcc to permit it. by then their base android system was getting old so people who like android said foul it's too old of a system. their app was built on the android system available at the time of conception and had to clear with those specs.

this system was 2100$ complete when it was made available. seeing it under 800$ is a great deal unless it has problems. only problem i have heard about is camera lag (your link does not include the camera in the package so problem solved) and battery. i have a marcum cam in my lx9 and never use it unless i'm bored because fish refuse to bite and i want to at least see what they are.
the battery with the deals going on shouldn't be any problem with the eo battery deal and the dakaota deal, but they aren't that expensive at full price with the savings your getting on the sonar.

i thought about buying it w/o the cam when i was going to upgrade my lx7 into the lx9, but the lakes i fish are private or too small to be mapped, so gps isn't needed.

Sorry to derail from recent posts but with the posts a few pages back regarding drill deals specifically the Ridgid 18V deal (the 1300 hammer drill) with the 9ah Li Ion battery for 209.99 vs the Dewalt 20V Li Ion with (2) 5ah batteries deal  on E-Bay for 167, what do you guys feel is a better deal for the long run? Quality wise, performance, longevity and warranty considered.

I have a 18V Dewalt already and like it a lot but had a battery die this summer and a new battery is $130+ for a 2ah. Thinking of making the 18V the home drill and getting one of these others for dedicated ice use. Thanks for your opinions.

I have the Ridgid, so I'm probably biased, but I don't see how you can beat the Ridgid deal right now. A lifetime service agreement for the drill and a 9aH battery is huge.

Well for $43 more you would have a 1300 "# drill and a life time warranty.  It is your choice though.
