Loon lake - lower thompson chain

Anyone ice fish this at all or know ice conditions? looks like a good selection of fish to target with both tipups and jiggin.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I recollect correctly, Happy's Inn is under new ownership.  You might try giving them a call.

There's a derby help on that whole chain of lakes next weekend, feb 8-9.  Was a lot of fun last year

nothing on loon, middle Thompson has give or take 4 inches from what im told. would assume loon would be close to that. couldn't say definitely though without going

I live near McGregor Lake - it is raining and 38º right now.  I was on Upper Thompson on Tuesday and the ice was good.   Also stopped at Middle and it was 6" where I was fishing near shore but it definitely got thinner the further out you went - and since I'm not a fan of cold water or of swimming I would probably stay away from Middle until there is a cold snap!
