If there is no ice after this cold spell you may have to wait until summer for ice.

too much wind will keep the main lake open, and break up any thin ice that has all ready formed.

A buddy of mine just got back from from the Standish boat ramp. There are shacks in close with 6+/- inches of ice. They are catching good sized togue and a fat salmon was released (caught in 4' of water).
People aren't venturing too far out from shore.

Didn't see anybody out on the big bay, made me a little nervous so I fished a pond a little farther north.  Didn't think I'd be able to make it out to where I wanted to go safely so I'll wait for another day.

trouble you rock.  i like the sound of that.  ice thick enough to walk on but too thin for all the yahoo's and the snowmobiles and vehicles.  i will ski out with my ice fishing stuff this weekend.  sounds like the sebago rush is on

Went out today off Harmons 6-7 inches with 10-12 inches snow on top .  Hitched a ride on a snowmobile going out . The guy on the machine had gone across to fryes and said 3 inches over there .   only fished for a couple hours jigging and we caught 2 touge  1-24" and 1 -27"
