Have I made the right choice?

MarCum LX5. I've been doing a lot of research and this is the one I want.....If anything else I would only upgrade to a LX7. Have I made the right choice?

The LX5 is a good choice. I really like the one I have.

The 5 is about as bullet proof as you will get. I have had mine since they were first offered, an love it. I have toyed with the idea of getting the 7 but for how I fish, I haven't felt the need.

That depends somewhat on your type of ice fishing, but I've had an LX-5 for over two years now with no problems and it's perfect for my purposes. I really like it, and my son just bought one for himself as well! :thumbsup:

IMO, the best flasher currently on the market.  I'd be exceedingly happy with one, so I think you made a great choice.

Most of my fishing, due to where I live, will be for crappie, perch, bluegill..25 ft or less, but I plan on going to Saratoga, Sacandaga, Onieda, etc for walleye, and maybe throw Lake George in there for a Laker. I love the idea of dual cone, more power, the fine line, adjustable zoom, etc. I really believe it's the most bang for the buck

 sold my vex fl8 3 years ago to buy mine. Love it. Thinking of getting the lx-7 next year if not before but will never get rid of my 5.

My LX5 came in today  ;D  I can not wait! Too bad the ice at my local reservoir probly crapped out with all this rain! Gonna find somewhere to go. I don't know if I can sleep tonight..lol
