Dewalt battery in an Ion Auger
« on: Nov 17, 2019, 05:04 AM »
Yesterday I was looking at the 3amp Auger at Sportsman's Warehouse and the young fella who was assisting me said that it would take Dewalt batteries. Does anyone have any experience with that?

I would say no.  The Ion uses a 40v battery, I’m not aware of a Dewalt battery in that voltage.  And I doubt that the electrical contacts on the battery line up either, that sort of thing is usually proprietary.

That makes sense to me.

I have a Dewalt battery-powered mower and it uses a 40v battery.  Now, if somebody can come up an adapter for my yellow battery to go green, I'd be the first to buy it.
