Livescope zero degree offset?
« on: Nov 07, 2019, 11:30 AM »
Has anyone run one with one of these instead of the standard offset, particularly on ice?

I've read a few posts on BBC suggesting the offset is considered optimal to limit displayed artifacts, possibly depending on bottom content?

I cut a piece of 1" (iirc, maybe 1.25"?) Pvc to about 1/2" wide and used that as a shim to eliminate the offset from my Livescope. I've been running it that way the entire time I've been using it, so I can't compare and contrast for you.

I have and am actually the first guy to market the shim before summit took off. Makes a world of difference especially in water of any sig depth.

Here's what I wound up doing for now using the transom mount.  I'll see how it goes.  Thanks for the info!
