Shimano or Pflueger?

(1/6) > >>

LotsToLearn:
Im looking to purchase a very lighweight dependable reel to use for my HT ice blue for panfish. It looks like a lot of people like the president from pflueger, but others prefer shimano’s. Its 2018, and im sure there are other great options i dont yet know about. Any thoughts?

Both are great reels. Shimano is the easiest to clean and re-grease.

Gee, that’s something I would of liked to know ahead of time lol.

For panfish besides a Shimano Sienna 500, I also have a couple of Jason Mitchell reels. The drag is smooth and the spool is wider to reduce line coil.
