Hope you guys get a good coat of ice soon........Merry Christmas to one and all.......heading for South Carolina again this year.......leaving tomorrow to beat the incoming storm.....fly home home for a week the end of Feb. to hopefully get my ice fishing fix in.....good luck and stay on top

Friday night might be good if the wind goes the right way. Water is pretty low, might need to get in the rowboat go get off the point. I have got them New Years before. Oh wait this is for ice fishing, wrong board lmao.

Me and some buddies rented a house on Oneida 2nd week of Feb. We are staying in a house by Lakeport Bay. Just looking for any pointers that you guys could throw my way. Tip up or jigging and where to buy bait. Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone this season.

Moose, head to Lakeside Outfitters for bait right down the road headed east at the corner of Lewis point road..this also a popular fishing spot/launch if you don’t have lake access at your rental. Need to be early if parking at Lewis.. The parking lot fills up fast. West of you is chapman park..large parking lot with ample space for trucks with trailers.
Most stick to jigging on Oneida for walleye as they like it aggressive and moving. Having a flasher is key. Jiggin raps with a minnow head on the treble and JamJig it in their face but play keep away at the same time. Best bites are sun-up/sun down for eyes..then try to hunt the perch pods in between. Best of luck

Don’t hesitate to try spoons tipped
Early and late is prime time for eyes but I’ve had lots of great bites during the day
I installed some LEDs in my shack ,thanks KP for picking them up for me
And that was only 1/2 a set

Yes sir they are plenty bright , if I put the whole set in I’m thinking maybe I could be spotted from the space station 😃

If the projected warm up doesn't destroy the ice completely, then perhaps it will melt the rough spots and smooth it out.
