Thinking of heading out Lewis Point after some eyes and perch this weekend. Can anyone fill me in on what parking looks like and if I can take a wheeler out of there? This will be my first time out of Lewis. Any help is appreciated. Tight lines all!

Others will know better, but from what I’ve heard you better be there really early or the night before if you want parking for a wheeler.

I’d be very skeptical about bringing a wheeler anywhere on oneida this weekend depending on how much snow we get. Gonna be wet and heavy and push that ice right down to make a giant slush field. Gonna be quite the show at Lewis this weekend I’d imagine. I’d have couple back up plans is all I'm sayin. If ya run a wheeler just bring equipment assuming you’ll get stuck couple times

Appreciate it. Is there anywhere else to park in the area to fish some of the same area or in South Bay? I assume it's a rat race everywhere, just trying to get my bearing before I show up. Thanks again

Plenty of parking at Verona state Park. With a machine it's easy travel to same spot as Lewis

Beekeeper for the win...easy travel on quad or snowmobile..give the walkers a chance...the lot is small..better fishing west anyway.

Never fished South Bay don’t no anything about it. There is Chapman park in between south bay and Lewis. Been a while since I been but I remember a way bigger lot. Not sure if they have parking issues there or not though. A shorter travel to deeper water as well. Vernon beach is nice if we don’t get dumped on unless ya got a sled or snow dog. Might be a nightmare on wheelers and side by sides

I haven't fished lewis in 2 years because of the sh*t show. No regard for the people who live there. Garbage everywhere and people parking blocking driveways and others in.

I actually prefer fishing north shore when I can. I'm a walker so no machine. Godfrey has lots of parking and not too bad a walk to some nice structure.

Keep in mind that a major snowstorm is headed our way guys. What’s been easy traveling or walking may get tough real quick!! Be safe everyone!!!!😎

same here man. I’m doing Godfrey again this weekend. I’ll bring my wheeler but if it looks like a mess I’ll leave it right on the trailer.  I know I can suck it up and chug it out to 25 fow if need be

Verona beach would be a better spot to unload, like was said there is going to be some slush to deal with.

Trap you most be glass half-full guy. Channel 3 predicted 10-16 for Oneida. Just started snowing a bit harder on south shore. Supposed to heavy through early morning. Not looking forward to slush on Saturday with low teens in the AM.

So far only about an inch at our house ....
I’ll hope for the lake.   I’ve got a nice fresh4-6 out here near sodus bay not looking good

just got home from plowing. it's 3 am. we've got 10 to 12 " in brewerton easy. I would say the lake has the same. I would think twice before taking a wheeler out there.   Sully...

Only 6 inches in Constantia, but it is very heavy snow and it's still snowing slow like. Don't forget your nitroglycerin you old walking goats. 🤣🤣🤣

Fished yesterday and slush was already forming as we came off at 3pm. Buddy set up on a snow pile because he forgot his creepers and it a a sloppy mess when we left. Morning was great but they shut down where we were and never reconnected bouncing around. 25 stripers and 2 eyes
Buddy got that one. Not 15” but close
