Assuming the warm weather beat all the snow down so I will be heading down to Oneida for one last trip for eyes before the season ends as I do not get down there often... plan to go out off the north shore.. will report back what I find for conditions and hope to put a limit of legal eyes on the ice! --- Key word: LEGAL

I ran into a few big slush spots off Cleveland tonight. It was better than it has been though.

Walked out at Lewis Point this afternoon in full sun.  Still pretty stiff on top considering.  I could see where sleds and wheelers went through some slushy spots, but didn’t look too bad.  Very slow fishing, but beautiful afternoon.

Travel was still decent with the wheeler tonight on the NE side. We'll see what this warmup and rain does.

Moonrise to the east.

Sunset to the west.

Awesome pics guys. I would have loved to have been out there this evening with that sunset. Haven’t fished since Monday evening. Heading out in the morning. Good luck to everyone going out tomorrow.

Fished this morning until 11:00. Fishing was slow. Stayed on top of the slush areas for the most part on the way out. On our way in it was a sloppy mess with the rain starting. Had to throttle through the slush all the way in. Hopefully the rain knocks it down and it freezes back up Monday and Tuesday.

Lost a set of Nissan keys out of Mill Street in the slush last week. I have another key but its $60 to get another one made. I like to have a spare.

Hiked out on the north shore Friday. Got a few short eyes. Did ok on the stripes. Marked fish all day long. Best eye bite was mid day.

Went to Chapman today walked about about 3 miles. Only got two nice perch. Did not mark many but two of the four did hit.  Left my 4 wheeler at home, big mistake. No slush spots where I was. hopefully the ice holds up for a couple more weeks.

I’m headed there Tuesday. Fish there often. Is most of the snow gone and is the lake bare ice. Hard to tell on the webcam. Trying to decide if the studded snowmobile would be the better decision. Thank you for your report.

Walked off Lewis Point this morning at 9:30, didn't feel like making the wee morning run. Good walking surprisingly, top was tight and needed creepers as no snow on top to speak of. Made stops in 26, 28, 30, 35 fow on the way out, would get a couple marks very briefly at each stop, then right back into the muck they went. Stopped at 29 on the way back in and hit 1 nice perch just as the noon whistle was winding down. Was the only one out of the dozen or so I marked that had any gumption. As for drilling, solid white top of 4", 4" slush under that, then 8" clear under that. Nice morning and never set up the hub, easy drag.

Fished out of Chapman today, 9:30 - 2:30. As stated on last couple of posts the drag literally could not be easier. Ice seems to be holding up fairly well. Ended up with 4 nice perch and one short eye, all in 22 fow. Still a lot of lookers but bite seemed to be a little more aggressive than last couple of weeks. Back at it on Tuesday.

Out of Lewis today. hit east side of it, started in 27, not a single mark, came in to 13, 15, one mark not a touch. Went to west side of it 24 ft, waiting for the 5pm rush , Had over a dozen come in, slow follows up, 6 ft off bottom max. swapped raps, out, went smaller, went to glow spoon. Then tried a minnow on a ball jig. Still couldn't get them to kiss anything. But was a ton of fun watching them on panoptix, they were busy but smart enough to stay away.
