Any reports from the north shore?  Rented a cottage in Constanta for the weekend but hears the ice is a bit sketchier over that way.

A guy put a wheeler through day before yesterday out from mill street ,  , so use your spud , as the ice isn’t consistent,

How much snow has ended up there so far with this storm?

5"-6" in Constantia 1 mile north of the lake. It looks like it is done snowing here.

130$ a night.  After fees turns out to be a little over 300$ for the weekend.  Worth it to  me to have lakefront access and isolation.

Spudded my out to 16 fow on the east end, Lady Oneida was kind. Drilled one set of holes and never had to move. The Ice was uniform where I was, but I took no chances. Float suit, ice pics and a spud are highly recommended . Walking was pretty good, way better than I expected, yesterdays slush froze and a ton of snow piled up at the shore, but once you gpt past that 100 yards or so it was 50 percent glare ice. Final tally was 15 Jumbos, 3 keeper eyes and at least 20 between 13.5 and 14.5. Good for next year I suppose.

Funny story, Before I had a single keeper eye I hooked up with a dandy for Oneida, 4 lbs Id wager. Had it on a #3 Rap that I regretfully didnt swap out the treble .... well I had the beast half way out of the hole when the hook straightened and went into the roof. I dove after her, went elbow deep, knocked my minnow bucket over, burnt my Bibs on the heater and lost the fish ::) ::) I honestly wish someone was with me, Release would have laughed so hard they would hear him on the west end  ;D

Now Eddy, that’s a “Boggeyesque “ short story if I ever heard one. You did learn something from me eh? STORYTELLING

How is the snow on the ice around apps landing or by bernhards bay. i will be up this weekend and will be leaving the wheeler at home and bringing my son. Seen reports of sketchy ice so figured that would be best. Our otter flip over is tough to drag in snow but a breeze on bare ice and just wondering if i should bring jet sled and pop up instead? thanks in advance

Be careful out of Lewis pt. Just watched a guy walking go in to his waist 100 yards from shore  on the flag pole side. He looked to be ok, turned around and headed back when he got out.

You never know. I’m sitting on 7” of ice and there’s a guy fishing the channel with a snowmobile

Looking for some information on Oneida. Going to try and rent a cottage for a week/weekend. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on areas on the lake to look at, or even particular houses. There will be a few of us, the guys annual ice fishing trip. Please PM me, any info is greatly appreciated!

Hey everyone. Hate to say it but lost a brand new first lite jacket off Lewis first thing this morning. Still has tags on it. If anyone found it could you send me a PM?

On a side note...the fish was pretty slow and only ended up with a couple perch. Ice was 5-7 inches everywhere I drilled.

Tight lines everyone!
