Budd Lake
« on: Feb 14, 2021, 08:22 PM »
Hi guys,

Fished Budd Lake today. I had the pleasure of fishing with my two daughter and son today. We caught Perch, Large Bluegills and one Pike. The ice was great, a soft layers of snow and soft ice with a good layer of black ice under it. The Black was under water but I was say was 5-7”. There was maybe 20 people in total fishing the theater area. This was our first time fishing there. The perch preferred mousies for us over the wax worms. We caught several fish on Rap Jigs. We had a three good bites on fatheads, and the Pike on a Large Shiner. We are going to target a walleye out of Hopatcong next. This weekend was stellar for my son And I, as we caught our Salmon and Pike which we never have fished for before.

           Bill

Looks like hammer handle pike were caught on budd today along with the usual suspects. Ice looks to be getting safer there.
