Saturday Ice Fishing State Park
« on: Feb 01, 2021, 02:04 PM »
Hit the ice on Saturday afternoon.  Got 3 perch (enough for dinner) and 1 fat bluegill.  Lots of people on the ice, but not a lot of flags...that I could see.  Good to see all the people out there though, enjoying this great sport.

State Park been mostly miss this ice season.

Get away from crowds and you find fish at other spots.

Spend most of the Saturday chasing perch flags on the Cong. Good days when there is only your crew and no one else around.

Yes, I agree...it has not produced big numbers this year.  I normally ice fish other parts of the lake.  I was hoping to get to my preferred spot this weekend, but not sure what the snow did.  There was a lot of open water there and I did not have any test dummies!

Anybody planning on trying to get on the ice Saturday? Wondering what the ice conditions are at the state park. Any information?
