TWINKIE TERAMISU

(1/1)

Joe in T.C.:
This dessert was a instant hit for the holidays.

What you will need:

1½ cups heavy whipping cream
8oz Philadelphia cream cheese
½ cup sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
3 Tbsp. Kahlua
10 Twinkies
Cocoa powder for dusting

Add whipping cream, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla to large mixing bowl.
Beat on low until combined. Increase to med-high and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
Don't over whip or it wont hold.

Lightly spray a 9.5" x 9.5" pan with cooking spray.
Spread a thin layer of the mixture in the bottom, so the Twinkies will stay in place.

Place Twinkies evenly spaced in bottom of pan.

Brush the tops of the Twinkies with Kahlua.

Evenly spread the remaining mixture on top.

Dust the top with cocoa powder.

Cover with saran wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

slice and serve.

Enjoy.

huntdeertk:
is brushing the tops enough Kahlua?

Joe in T.C.:
I have got feedback from several people that it needs more Kahlua :)

Dipping the Twinkies in Kahlua is an option.

How long to dip them would be personal preference.

If the soak up to much Kahlua they may get mushy.

Dipping Twinkies in Kahlua without even making this dessert has been know to happen around here as well. ;D

Good Lord....caught this just in time. Got a big ice group trip next WED thru SUN in Northern WI.

White Russians are usually the night cap....this should pair quite well.

uncleshorty:
For more coffee flavor you could sprinkle the 1st layer w/ instant coffee before installing the twinkies...

I'd still dip the twinkles, though...
