FandR are both sides painted or are they brass or silver on the under side?

If you want painted both sides you need to request if not they come silver hammered back

I don't know if they are completely new but I've only seen these recently. They don't sell direct to public but I think they are available on Amazon.

They've been around for quite a while, they sell directly to companies. We got issued them at work a couple of years ago and they are very nice, but I don't think they'd be as good as my spikes on ice.

I saw Eskimo got their new rod locker in stock, so I ordered one last week. Posting this because there isn’t a lot of info on this case.
It actually came the next day, no complaints there. It’s pretty nice and should meet my need for a smaller case that still has some hard protection for the  rods. My Flambau/Eagle Claw is too big to use in my one man flip over. I do think this case should be priced closer to $80, it’s nice, but $120 seems overpriced for what it is.

Interior storage, note that this is the smaller of the two rod lockers, 32”:

The “no snag” rod tubes, they are oval shaped, and seem to work as advertised:

Bottom is smooth so it won’t freeze to the ice or hold water

Size comparison to the Flambau rod case, which is the same as the Eagle Claw:

I'll be getting one of the 18v Milwaukee power packs I think from colby.  Slim down/lighter than using ammo box and SLA/AGM battery for my Striker 4.

Yes, electric drills have taken over a big chunk of the market however, if you are going to be fishing for big fish, you can't beat a gas auger with a 10 inch bit.  I know, there will be a few on here who say that they have landed plenty of big fish through small holes.  And, I suspect that it has happened from time to time.  But, if you are going for fish that are 10+ lbs, you would be better off going with a 10 inch hole, just saying!  As far as I know there aren't many electric drills that will consistantly handle that big of auger.

The 10" ION G2 is a beast and will be sufficient wherever you fish and only 17lbs.

My biggest pike 42 1/2 " came thru a 6" hole on 8lb test. Have never seen a fish yet I  couldn't get through a 8" hole.
A bad day of ice fishing is better than any day at work!

Plenty a drill setups that can run a 10in. The reason IMO to run a 10in hole is due to having the hole freeze down......

Don't see it mentioned yet, pretty sure it just released yesterday, so I'll add:

New Piscifun ICX Carbon inline reel.

https://www.piscifun.com/collections/ice-fishing-reel/products/piscifun-icx-carbon-ice-fishing-reel-3-2-1-inline-freespool-ice-reel-magnetic-drop-system-8-1-shielded-bb

Currently 20% off and free shipping with code "MH20".  Cheaper than at the Big River site.

Large arbor, carbon frame, aluminum spool and subframe, magnetic drop control, full bearings (8+1).

Black/Red -or- Black/Silver

If it matches the quality of the original ICX from last season (and I have faith it will), this is going to be THE inline ice reel to beat this year!!!  @)

I was doing some research on these, and the new Sport B13 MER (r=reverse) is listed as $4,390 plus tax and fees.  That puts it around $5k after everything.  If they were "only" $3,000, I'd probably already have one by now.  They're definitely intriguing machines and fill the ice fishing niche perfectly.

Is it beast enough to drill more than one hole through 3ft of ice, without using three batteries?  I'm not trying to be argumentative, I really want to know.  If so, I might have to retire my Jiffy pro4.

Yes.  In fact, it's beast enough to do that many times over on ONE battery...  There are some reviews.  IIRC, one guy got 1,200 inches of ice on one charge with the 10"; that would be ~33 holes!!!  (That's ~94,250 in^3, which is equivalent to ~408 gallons!  :o @))

Yes, you should easily get about 20 holes through 3ft of ice on one battery.   The good thing is that the new units ship with 2 batteries so you always have a spare.

I did a cold temp (cold for here in MN) stress test video last year and it turned out pretty well.  Not quite the 1200" advertised, but still pretty impressive.
