That was What my next point was Cold Feet. It's been said a lot but I can't read it or type it enough. If you would just walk out onto a frozen lake you have never been on with confidence from the post you read from someone on the internet, you have a screw loose. I think the world of a lot of guys here, but truthfully will check the ice for myself when I get there. Just last weekend I did the same. Went with a group that some of had been out a couple days earlier. I got there early, walked out with the spud and an auger and checked it. Some peoples 7" just isn't the same as mine.....Just ask my wife.....

In the end all the R&C boards do for me is give me a little idea where the fish may be biting.

I couldn't agree more with your statements. Last week my son and I went to a lake where according to all reports had a solid 6 to 8" ice. We were the only guys in this spot and of course I knew the ice thickness could be a question. Sure enough it was only 4" tops. This area isnt far from the beaten trails and as we all know ice thickness varies. We had a great day though and did stay dry. This site is a great resorce of information BUT the fishermen must sort through it. It is not gospel people must only take it as GENERAL information and apply it. Especialy when it comes to ice conditions and their safety. Take nothing for granted and double check things for yourself.

Heard the ice wasn't to good there Raquette......but the feathers were a foot deep....according to the guys on Lake George that should float a 165lb man....

Too funny. i know I'm new to the site but I did learn how to read back in elementary school. O well maybe cold feet should start banning people if they post things on boards they aren't supposed to. But then again no one ever said all fishermen were smart, we just have good taste in hobbies...

Can anyone tell me what the word REGARDING means? Does anyone know where the Reports and Conditions boards are? Do we need to send out Site maps and instructional sheet to those who are still lost here? (Although if you can not read the main topic here I am sure you can not follow instructions either) And one final note THIS IS NOT A REPORTS BOARD FOR ANY LAKE IN NY. DO NOT POST REPORTS HERE DO NOT ASK ABOUT LAKES HERE. its a ice reports board for Miami Fla! any NY reports will be deleted.

The teacher is in need of a rubber room. We have no ice in Buffalo I melted all of it today with my hot head. I decided to take a long long walk on a short pier. I havent had a drink in 3 years but nows a good time to start again. LOL Now watch Page 4 lets see how many report some conditions again. I am haveing Darwin awards made for those who post. I just they don't decide to reproduce I can not handle another generation of this.
