just something I think I would like to share with everyone.......coldwat er pike..(the eater size).....generally dont get too agressive...here's a helpfull tip to increase your catch........live bait hooked minnows just above bottom.......deadstick ed.....with the occasional DOWN tip.......will often trigger the soft hit........Do Not jig up......you can often drop the live bait right on bottom......rest awhile...then move up to about 2 feet above bottom........if nothing triggers........DOWN TIP the presentation...watch your live minnow on the line.....it will usually tell you when PREY is around....Grump
