I caught a really big shiner today, probably 8-10 inches.  They're pretty common in the lake I fish in, but today I got the first.  Imagine your tip up shiner on steroids...

Saturday was the opening day of trout season here, I thought I saw her (they do stand out) as I was passing the hole she was in. There were no less than six people fishing there so I fished my way to the local pub (about a mile) and caught a dozen or so on the way. After shooting darts for a couple of hours I was telling a friend of mine about her and he bet me 20.00 that I couldn't catch her, so back down the creek I went. No one was fishing when I got to the hole (I was amazed and figured they must have caught her), she hit my joes fly second cast and I have to say they fight like silver salmon (she tail walked twice and jumped a couple more times). So back to the bar for some free beer.

those palaminos are cool fish, where i fish in pa, last year all 3 of my buddys got one the first day, biggest was 25"

Caught this one 4-16-11...Another 18 inch Golden Rainbow. Took a couple pics and let her go.

those fish are actually bread so the eagles can find fish for food. idk if this is an albino rainbow trout or just a plain golden trout.

Lets get this thread back and running! I did get a pickerel with a frog in its mouth, my first pike, my first trout on the fly, a 3 inch brookie, and lost a big landlocked salmon twice, broke me off both times on 6x tippet. also my first big smallmouth, a 5 and a half pound bruiser, but nothing really out of the ordinary

a squishy fish, was identified as a sea prech by someone. i dont think a sea perch is actually a real type of fish.

that "sea perch" is a cutter i catch quite a few of them on sabiki rigs while tryin to catch porgies for striper bait in long island sound or while black fishing there pretty comon and the sea robins are actually really comon while fluke or flounder fishing they actually fight pretty good and ive seen some good sized ones
