Check it out, the last fish entered in the Brown/ Rainbow division by OakOrchardfishking sure is a nice fish but sure looks like a Brookie to me!

BROOKIE all the way, not a rainbow.
Brookie with faded colors.
Raibows will have pinkish-purplish color on its gill plates.

Wish the photo was better but the white leading edge on the lower fins that appear orange is a dead giveaway for me.

Nice picture of a Brookie there "Grump" but we all know they can look alot different in the wild.

I mean nothing against the fish here as it is a gorgeous fish and particularly if it is a Brookie as I suspect. Looks like it came right out of the stream by my house only twice or three times the size!

Someone please start a Poll question on this and lets have some fun!

Grump - here's a brookie from Reynolds...fairly light in colour, but a bit darker than the entry.

I think you guys nailed it !

It's a brook trout ... look at the white halo around the fins.  ;)

I moved it to the pictures area.

It takes a big man to admit it...unfortunately I'm not big enough not to rub it in  ::) >:D

I guess you'll need to stick to identifying pike...  ;)
