The fortress of tree branches were there last saturday when I took my daughter out. Most were fishing by the narrows and nobody was in the area by the branches. We fished about 30’ away from that spot and caught enough bluegills for a fish fry and threw back 3 times as many shorts.

I just seen his post on top of this page from today..I know he sent a few PMS to me and filletnrelease neither one of us got them.yup the truth hurts I guess bigal is on main lake today to.trappers someplace out there to not on main lake though.

Yea there's fish in there the bite was tough yesterday to I managed some gills and some nice perch.alot a fish came up looked and went away .one time I put my camera down the hole it was nothing but shiners

It was slow like that most of the afternoon for us as we kept hopping holes then around 4:00 it was nonstop every time we dropped a jig down until we left around 4:45. That’s when we got most of the keepers

I'm sure you are talking about gills. Sounds like the time the gills start moving on in.

We had 21 tipups out about a mile south of the county park. Five flags. Four perch landed. Didn't mark a single fish on my sonar all day. Fished from 6:45-1:00. Ice was in great shape in main lake.

I had one of my best days ever. Must have caught over 100 gills. Most were all out of the same hole. Trapper joined us for a while and got some too. Took home enough for a couple of meals.

Main lake, north end Saturday. My buddy Gator put a 47", 26lb.10oz. tank on the ice. Moves into 2nd place. I put a little 40" next to him. Iced 5, 2 misses, pretty good day. 1" of fluffy snow, simple drag. 7" of solid ice. Beautiful day, there was a 360 degree rainbow around the sun, pretty cool. Only a matter of time before 30 lber comes out of there..

Fished out where you caught "The Fish!" yesterday.
did not get a flag all day. The ice looked like swiss cheese along the drop off edge, could not take 6 steps without stepping on an old hole. Looks like its getting pounded.

That is longer than the current ice record of 46” but not as heavy record is 27#s 5 if that fish would have had a snack it could have been the new record

Hopefully coming up this weekend, looking for a little help...is there parking on the street by the park? And I'm not looking for anyone's spots, but what is a good depth to target gils/crappie? Weed edge? Or out deeper? Thanks yal!
