can you leagally use corn for bait in ny state, and also can you trap and use bait on the same body of water?

ok so whats a good method for corn and what fish would hit it and u can use slef trapped bait on the same lake but cant transport it to any other lake and they have to be tagged with name and address.. thanks for the help i looked it up but the book isnt clear at all about the corn subject and just wanted to make sure that the corn was.      :tipup:

Ive had luck with small jigs tipped with corn for stocked rainbows. I think it simulates the pellets they are fed at the hatchery
