ANTERO RES., 12-4 AND TARRYALL RES., 12-12
« on: Dec 13, 2008, 03:14 PM »
Me and Dad went out to Antero last week and Dad caught 1 small rainbow. We had a bunch of hits. Two guys by us each had a 18" bow and a 18" cutthroat. We went to Tarryall yesterday and I caught 14 and Dad got 4 rainbows. We each kept 4. Ice at both places was 6-7 inches. Caught on Ratsos and Shrimpos with wax worms and Power Bait. Ice in the middle of both lakes isn't safe yet, but with the coming cold front should get better.

My brother, son and myself were also out there on Saturday. Managed to get one hut up in that butal wind at about 7am. We hit a few right away then we had to earn'em after that. We broke camp after about 2:30pm and only caught seven for the day. All between 14-17 inches. They were all nice and thick though.

All in all the bite was light and the wind was THICK!
