Did your example of how to sign up count as you signing up? Or do you have to sign up again! lol Also, if shawn doesn't sign up we can mock him when he can't enter any fish!!!

Hey I know that there are only a few lakes with walleye but I didn't see them included in the tourney. Can we include them?

Thanks guys the walleye thing is rough out there but I have got some nice ones on the ice in the past. It is hit or miss and swartswood has been dropped 5 feet this year. Good luck guys

i know this is off topic with the online tourny but are we in for possibly making a get together this year? and what would the possiblities be for lake choices?

If there is Ice we will do a get together. Usually Doug and Shawn will propose a couple of lakes and take suggestions and then pick one based on popular vote along with ease for everyone from all the state to get there, safe ice conditions with plenty of room for everyone, and enough parking for everyone. I believe we normally shoot for February when there is the best chance for safe ice. I'm sure Doug will post about this when it gets a little closer.

no entries yet??? id have 3 but i took my pictures improperly! didnt know i couldnt have two cards (isnj card, normal shanty card) in one picture and i reread the rules when i got home. bummer :'( :'(

Exactly. Take the pics with only the NJ card. Take the pics again with only the Main tourney card. We're trying to keep the NJ tourney separate from the main tourney. ;)

I hope to be posting my psuedo winners on the NJ board only since I did not enter either tourney this year. The pics, if I have any, will be enjoyed I'm sure though. I didn't enter since I don't know how much ice fishing I will actually do this year. I'm certain it'll be less than previous years though. I also need to purchase a waterproof camera since my phone is the only real source for photos I will have. The real camera will get damaged if I bring it out in the cold. One was ruined about 3 years ago because of the condensation.

why is there a "deadline" if there is no ice ?

It's a "sign up" deadline. Trying to have everyone signed up prior to the tourney beginning .. which is Jan 1st each season.
We have no way of knowing from year to year when we will have safe ice.

Can I print the tourney card in black and white? I have a laser printer that I like to use when things might get wet, because the ink doesn't run, but it is B&W only.

Print it in color and laminate it or place in a zip lock baggie. It just makes it easier to identify.

Thanks bmx. We had a pattern going and got a total of 4 of them around that size. My buddy got a bigger one but he is not a member of IS. Hoping to get back out soon before they vanish. Think deep then go deeper.

lol yeah i have been fishing the ponds i got to as deep as possible where i sitll have weeds or good bottom contour. that must have been a heck of a time!

Wheres the muskie category? On a good winter I bet more muskies are caught in Jersey then any other state, they just don't get many out West thru the ice. I usually get out a few times a winter for them. Going on 4 days in a row would love to be able to enter my fish

Why sign up if there isn't a category for the fish I target mainly. I do jig for pan fish early in the season but could care less that I caught a 9 and 9.5 inch sun fish that would be winning your tournament cause its a sun fish. All I was doing was making a suggestion for next year. I know many die hard musky guys that might join, participate and contribute to the forum if they could compete for the biggest musky in Jersey

Not to mention you have 5 categories that have 3 or less entries in them a week in February. I myself could have 3 entries in a musky category. Just something to look at

So are you saying that you know guys not on the boards because the nj contest that was just started this year, doesn't have a musky category? They can still talk and chat about msuky fishing in general, and enter in the IS tournament? Also, you in particular wouldn't be allowed to enter, because for this one you must be an NJ member, not a PA one that may fish in nj. Also don't forget that some of the categories might be lite, but that is also due to people not signing up, and also with the weather, the maount of fishing that has not been able to happen.

What makes you a nj member? If its not done by where you fish? I post just as much on the jersey board as any other, and live in Jersey 5 days a week. While we are on this topic why put a sign up deadline? If someone wanted to join in February and enter fish they caught that day on with the nj tournament card why would up You not let some one? They are not at any kind of advantage

These are separate state tournaments .. each state is running their own. NY, NJ and Maine just to mention a few.
We are running it separately from the Online Tournament but adhering to the online tourney's rules, etc. but just for the state .. NJ.
The online tournament is where it doesn't matter the state, province, where you fish .. whatever. You should be talking with Pa's moderator's instead of me.

The weather didn't cooperate as we would have liked but it was a little better than last season.

I sent PM's to all the 1st place winners. As soon as I have the information I'll start my "LoneWolf Certificates". ;)
I thought to make it more convenient we could all meet somewhere and I could give out the certificates.
This way all I need is your name and I don't have to wait for checks and mail them out. ;)

Sorry for the delay on the certificates. I was waiting for AJ to contact me with his info .. he never did.
I will have the certs done by this weekend. I will mail them to Shawn and he can make arrangements to meet at one of the sponsors shops to give them out. ;)
