Eagle on Island Pond

Twice yesterday while set up on Island Pond we had a bald eagle fly over.
I commonly see in summer but a real treat in January.

Lake Runnemede in Windsor has 3 baldies living on the edge of the pond. Every morning they will come down and join the fishermen on the ice to grab up what "offerings" were left for them by the fishermen. Fattest eagles in the northeast.

Yup.....Having an Eagle come down to scoop up leftovers while you're on the ice would be a pretty cool thing to see.

Anyone have a picture of these eagles on the ice?

My wife got some a few weeks ago, but I don't think they came out well. Lots of folks hike out on the pond just to take pics of them.
