Woke up to a strong frost, forecast has days below freezing, Would love a transition like this spring, fished the ice one weekend and boat the next. Hoping to get some nice fall boating weather, and transition to ice. If we keep with this cold we may get a early start this year! Time to get gear ready!!

I know I'm looking forward to the ice season. Fingers crossed for a solid 4 inches after rifle season. ;D
Tight lines to you this fall and winter! Go get 'em.

I'll be happy if we can get on the ice by january 1st. 2 times over the last 6 years I've been able to ice fish for my birthday which is december 22nd. It is so fun to be able to fish during Christmas holidays.

Starting to look good.

I'm getting pretty antsy. The snow looks nice, but some dry weather with these temps would be ideal! As long as I'm out before new years I'm happy.

I am hoping this year will be a repeat of 2013-14. Would love to be on the ice in November, and have my shanty out by mid-December! We were on Carmi in a hard-side that year on 12/14 8x8 on a trailer (1900lb + atv), and on Joes Pond with it the following week. Loved hardside fishing on xmas eve!

I’d love to roll right out of muzzleloader and onto the ice this year!
