And from the looks of those boxes i need to go shopping and hope to learn more because you are never to old to learn.

I think jeffro9023 is. He seems to be a retired guy with a big fat 401K and not too many jigs, sittin back on the ice laughing at everyone else because they are doing everything wrong in his estimation.  :icefish:

how do you guys change jigs on ice?  do you retie them everytime you want to change a jig?  when its cold and windy, retying jigs on ice is not the most pleasant thing to do.

are there some quick snaps/swivels?

as new jigs hit the market...however some of those oldies are still some of my go-to jigs.

Northland quit making the solid orange Forage Fry Minnow last year, which was my go to jig...I see you have a few. Got REALLY lucky at the St. Paul Ice Show Friday (That's why I always go on the first day..if ya don't get it, it's gone) talking to the Northland guy about that..he steered me across the aisle to a guy selling Northland close-outs and no-longer-produced-jigs. Guess what I found? He had 3 left...now nestled in my jig box.

I retie....the swivels really seems to fudge the action on the tiny jigs, and when the fish are really finicky, even the black tiny swivels seem to bug 'em.

I bought some Ratsos, Moxie minnows and that type of thing since my son was at a store where they were on sale in Bismarck. I thought I would save them for retirement but my son told me that it is ok to use them since I am already retired and don't have to worry about my 401K anymore. Gee, what a great feeling.

I use No-Knot Snaps. Pop one lure off and pop a different one on. Careful though, if ya buy some ya might not get to retire until yer ninety. HAHAHA :woot:

I use mostly size 10 for panfish, but at times size 12 is better. It kind of depends on the type of jig and the mood of the fish.

The no knot snaps work well for vertical lures with larger eyes.  Horizontal lures need to be tied direct to line keep them horizontal.

Whew ... I thought I had a major addiction.  Most of you have me beat!  Here's a few of mine ...

By the way, the no-knot snaps are awsome for spoons!
