this storm don't look that bad on radar., 6 inches of snow will probably blow off the pond, we'll see.

Took a ride up to the pond this am.  Not as much snow as i though there would be. Still all locked up but looks like weak ice
A good day fishing inst complete unless it's spent with family or friends.

I think the wind blows most of it to the east end.

i could be crazy but i drove down to greene point yesterday while i was out checking ice looked at it and decided to not bother there didnt look good enough to check but looking across the pond there was a couple guys out there with tip ups.. not far off the shoreline.  braver souls than i for sure. lakeview and all other places i checked had about 2 1/2 to 3 " and i never went out more than 15 feet from the shore while checking.  love to ice fish but i am not about to get wet doing it. couldnt believe my eyes when i saw that. had to ask the bf if i was really seeing that.  yup sure was. i need to have more ice under me than that. hope they did well and got off there safe.

10 day forcast looks good.. Highs in the mid 20's and lows in the low teens at night. Won't be long now... It was dark when I left the house this morning I am going to check the pond when I get out of work. I will post my results later.

It was windy all night at my house last night. Most of my snow even in my driveway blew away. Big drifts.

I went down to the wigwam this morning and there was a bunch of snow on the ice. A few spots looked like the water seeped into it but for the most part covered in fluff... Not windy enough... Hopefully there was only a skim on it...   :'(

Going to have to drill a hole, bait a hook put the vex in and find out. The salmon had no problem gettig to the tribs from the lake. Last i new salmon are alot bigger than perch lol. The pike, crappie, and gills didnt go anywhere. I like to think with the lack of fishing preasure last winter there should be some fishing this season. Rip their lips off, stay safe
