I've been read your Ice fishing tales and I have run across the bait "phoebes". What is this critter.. also, where can I get chains for spoons?

so did you take the trebal of the phobe and put the haili chain on brilliant, did you tip it with anythin?

Yeah, I tip it with spikes when I'm fishing for perch with them. Only thing that caught fish the first time I tried it, I'm hooked!

 I tried it today and they shunned it  , they wanted small baits but maybe next weekend ill try it.

Perch or crappies? I never tried it for crappies....

I have used them and I don't really like the action that much but I am sure they work. But that was only casting for trout and never jigging.
