Does anyone know if Ted's is still open? Haven't been there in a couple of years.
Used to go there with my Dad back in the 70's -80's, when HIS Dad ran the place.

Not sure... I went up in there last season and when I went it was locked up. went on like a Saturday morning. I haven't run up there yet this season. I'll try this weekend and let you know.

IceCold, according to my buddy, Dick's in Smithfield was open during the summer...hadn't been there yet this winter.

Yes, Dicks on Smithfield ave is open 100%.

the pet store in north smithfield next to gators pub has shiners. $7.00 a dozen and they are quality shiners mine are still alive from last friday. i beleive the pet store is open at 10-8 but most days they are there early.

Just as a disclaimer Dick was very inconsistent with hours last year. I went by there early in the morning at least 3 times during ice season and it was closed. Is he more consistent lately?

Also, Continental Bait and Guns in Cranston will be open through the winter this year. The owner says he will be open Sundays too if there is ice.

Yes, more consistent. He has diabetes and almost lost his leg last year. I have known him for 25 years and he has always been there when i call him. I am talking to him tomorrow so i will post his exact schedule.

as of 9:30 this morning I grabbed a dozen medium shiners for $7.50 from Ray down at Ted's. Says he'll dip bait anytime for anyone as long as he has them available. He was busy and only had about 10-15 dozen left when I was there.

Went there this morning! Picked up a dozen and a half... and he had mummies!!!! And damn did they produce!
