Title: Syracuse Sportsman Show Cancelled

First the Ice Fishing Show......Now they cancelled the Sportsman Show held in January at the NYS Fairgrounds too......so no sportsman shows at all in CNY.....Seems like if the promoters from both shows would have merged them together they would have a winner!!

What the heck is going on in syracuse? This is total bs. we need to stop this crap from happening!

These all seems to be a direct result of this depression we are facing.  People (many) just don't have the expendible cash for "hobbies".  I know a lot of us hardcore ice junkies spend a fair amount on our hobby, however the general public probally won't.  Tough times for sure.

The hunting and fishing shows here in Michigan are getting smaller each year. Why go to a show with parking and entrance fee when you can now go to a Basspro shop or Cabala's for free and see even more items then a sportsman show. Changing times and consumer needs.

Having worked shows as a dealer, it is a lot of work for a chancy return, so many deals are cutting back on doing shows. Also most of the shows are charging more money for a table and at many shows fewer anglers are going...
