Tony we jigged White perch yesterday and today on Little Sebago. we did catch perch but with a garmen and a Vexilar flasher we could see lots of fish near bottom. they were not aggresive in their bite at all 4 of us fished all day and the perch were on bottom all day and they would come up to our jigs with night crawlers on hook and nose bait Ive never had two days in a row with the bite so light . usally on a mid morning we can get 50 to 100 fish but not this year .
Cusk like cut bait, If i catch a smaLL perch cut some half inch chuncks lay on bottom ,any cusk around youll get them
Keeping those 30" browntrout is illeagel also
I usually have my bait guy set aside some dead shiners, and use leftover smelts for bait. I do ok this time of year up North for Cusk, but come the middle of February through March they school up, and we can put more than a dozen on the ice 3-5lbs. I mentioned it before, but attaching a Dr. FISH deep drop light (Amazon) a couole of feet from the bait really seems to help. Just me and the dogs this weekend, will report on salmon and cisk bite
Ive caught most of my cusk on a diced up Chub or large minnows also all my big Togue i usally by one or two suckers at a local bait shop ill dice these up as i need bait ,youll find out it works great.
Legal
Lol
They probaly want to see my 30" Browns.
Everyone knows browns in Little Sebago top out at 29".
Years ago a friend of mine caught a 10lb Brown trolling on so side of Horse is. I cant imagine he or anyone else catching a fish of a life time and being forced to let it go.
Dude you need to read the special regs more carefully.
Those are only suggestions aren't they ?
