crayfish as bait

anyone ever use crays as bait...cant believe anyone still had crays but got some of those and fatheads. going to try tmrw for perch and smallies...never used them before..worth a shot i guess

The colder temperature water puts the crayfish down in the mud for hibernation so the fish are not looking for them. But then maybe they might think of it as a gourmet meal? Supposedly fish don't reason like that but hey, why not!

as a kid we got small crawfish anf fished for perch with them on Oneida and Ontario , got pretty expensive  in later years  but big perch love crawfish
