Or they can see the reports on Black lake on the NY Reports and Conditions board.  ;)

Might be heading up there one day...Friend has a cottage there and makes the trip every couple of weeks to visit family...she's invited me up for fishing. Can't wait. I go up every year in the summer want to see what happens during ice times

Thanks Craig it's nice to have a live report not many people offer that. This is what this sight is for, giving each other info. I will be up there Saturday.

Anybody know of any good cabin rentals on black lake for ice fishing?  Looking for someplace that would sleep 8 - 10.

What are some of the species that are in Black Lake?  Looks like a pretty big body of water ... would you need an ATV or Snowmobile to get to the fishing spots or can a walker do all right?

I knew a Craig up there just up the road from McClears.. I think he was Mels nephew...    ;D ;D  Took us to a bonfire one weekend...

Craps , gills , and northerns are the most popular , you can get to spots by walking , but when the ice is thick enough you can use you sleds or wheelers , chapmans bait and tackle puts up ice reports , check the reports page

Craig is one of the few guys with year round lodging on Black Lake.  He took real good care of us last year, and I'm sure he's going to do the same this year.  See you Thursday!
