Any ice fishermen live near loon mountain.
« on: Feb 15, 2023, 05:28 PM »
Good evening the ladies and gentlemen I am taking a trip up North to Lincoln /woodstock New Hampshire  While I am up there I wanted to take my boys 86 and 4 on a little ice fishing trip.  The only problem is I have no idea where to go.  If someone's willing to help me out please pm me.  The preferred species my boys want to go for was trout they like to call them rainbow fish.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
In winter we become gods and walk on water....

Not much in the way of ice fishing in that area without at least an hours drive. Closest would be Stinson Lake in Rumney. With the recent weather, caution is advised when heading out on the ice, especially if you are not familiar with the waterbody.
You can't tell which way the train went by the tracks it left behind.

Streeter Pond in Sugar Hill is about a half hour from Loon Mt and has the species you are looking for.

Mirror lake in Woodstock might still have some stockies left in there.
Every fish is a good fish!
