Hole size

 Sunday my buddy caught a eight n a half lbs catfish.I only brought my 5 in hand auger because the ice is so thin,it fit through the hole but not much room to spare.Would like to here some other small hole big fish stories from ya all

Wow that is a beast of a catfish, where were fishing?  I have never personally had anything that big.  I have a 7ich electric, i've had 2 bass both around 5-6 lbs the last 2 years get through with a little wiggle room, but not much haha.  I hope for the day I can't get a fish through!
