rod action/ length
« on: Jan 13, 2014, 02:11 PM »
What action do you prefer for walleyes?
I prefer long rods, but I mostly gill fish.
I have a couple 51" ul but I think they'd be to wimpy to jig a rap on. Maybe for a dead stick rod. I just ordered a 39" ml glass rod.
I like to bounce around a lot when I fish.
What're your favorites?

Anymore I like 30-32" blanks even inside my one man the blanks easy enough to and when it comes to hole hoping they are perfect in my opinion.  Action are completely dependent on what baits I am fishing

Depends on your presentation ..I don't use spoons anymore but a 28" medium is good for spoons..
I use # 7 jigging raps and 1/4 oddball jigs so 30" medium heavy is perfect
