Front bay covered with some snow and Ice, not sure of the thickness, and i'm not walking on it.  Wide open with a lot of geese to the east.  Be safe.

Jig_head were you the guy out with fisher97?  I am 250 and it was defiantly to soft for me a half hearted wack with bar and it was going through, and all the cracking and popping when I was walking it really made me uncomfortable.

i did see a few guys on and one report of small gills....and another of a large crappie the nite before (friday)....i didnt bring my gear...was just being nosy....took some pictures of sled tracks on bay....think i'm taking my kayak on lake michigan monday/tuesday....steve

Checked them all out today.  Flint has very very little ice. Long has ice on part, 1/2-1".  Looked like  boat launched today or yesterday and ther ws about 20 yards of ice before open water.  Loomis has ice over a lot of it, very thin ice, lol.  Be safe and wait brother!!
